33 years of friendship,
two creative minds,
one project –

Machu Picchu was the spark: Back in 1992 – far away from a newly reunified Germany – Endy and Thomas met in a small restaurant in Cuzco. At first, they sat at separate tables, watching other travelers and looking for kindred spirits. Then, at some point, their eyes met. It didn’t take long to realize they had the same goal – a multi-day trek to Machu Picchu. They started talking, decided to do the hike together, and that was the beginning of a friendship that’s lasted more than 33 years.

Endy, who lived in Munich for many years, now lives in Mexico. Thomas, who was still in Dresden at the time, later moved to Upper Bavaria. Despite the great geographical distance, they never lost touch—and recently decided to start a joint creative project.

That’s how artvariable was born: we want to make our passion for art and design accessible to everyone – no matter their budget or living space. Our goal is to make art as open, inclusive, and inspiring as possible.
